Your Right to Data Deletion

At urWave Technologies, we respect your right to control your personal data. This page explains how you can request the deletion of your personal information and/or account from our systems. We are committed to complying with applicable data protection laws including GDPR, CCPA, and regional regulations in the UAE and KSA.

What Data Can Be Deleted

Upon a valid deletion request, we will permanently remove the following personal data from our systems: Account Information (name, email, phone number, profile details); Usage Data (activity logs, preferences, settings); Payment Records (after legal retention period - typically 7 years for financial records); Communications (support tickets, chat history, emails); Marketing Data (subscription preferences, campaign interactions); Device Information (device IDs, IP logs older than required for security); Third-Party Integrations (data shared with connected services).

Data We Must Retain

Certain data may be retained for legal, regulatory, or legitimate business purposes including: Financial and tax records (required by law for 7+ years); Fraud prevention records; Legal dispute documentation; Anonymized/aggregated analytics data (non-personally identifiable); Data required for ongoing legal obligations. We will inform you if any data must be retained and the reason for retention.

How to Request Data Deletion

You can request data deletion through any of these methods: 1) Email Request: Send an email to [email protected] with subject line 'Data Deletion Request' including your full name, email address associated with your account, and specific data you want deleted. 2) In-App Request: If you have an account on our platforms (urWhats, urLead, urIdea, urHub), use the 'Delete Account' option in your account settings. 3) Contact Form: Use our contact form at urwave.com/contact with 'Data Deletion' as the subject.

Identity Verification

To protect your privacy and prevent unauthorized deletion requests, we will verify your identity before processing your request. Verification may include: Confirming your email address through a verification link; Requesting government-issued ID for sensitive data requests; Security questions associated with your account; Two-factor authentication if enabled. We take these precautions to ensure only authorized individuals can request data deletion.

Processing Timeline

We will process your deletion request within the following timeframes: Acknowledgment of request: Within 3 business days; Identity verification: 1-5 business days; Data deletion completion: Within 30 days of verified request; Confirmation email: Upon completion of deletion. For complex requests involving multiple systems or third-party integrations, we may require up to 45 days. We will keep you informed of progress.

Third-Party Data Deletion

If your data has been shared with third-party service providers, we will: Notify relevant third parties of your deletion request; Request confirmation of deletion from each party; Provide you with a list of third parties who received your data upon request. Note: Some third parties may have their own retention policies. We recommend contacting them directly for complete deletion.

Consequences of Data Deletion

Please be aware that data deletion may result in: Permanent loss of your account and all associated data; Inability to recover account history, preferences, or content; Termination of active subscriptions (refunds subject to our refund policy); Loss of access to purchased services or products; Removal from all mailing lists and communications. Data deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Please download any data you wish to keep before requesting deletion.

Mobile App Data Deletion

For users of our mobile applications: Uninstalling the app does not automatically delete your account or server-side data; To fully delete your data, submit a deletion request using the methods above; Local data on your device can be cleared through your device settings; Push notification tokens will be invalidated upon account deletion. We recommend submitting a deletion request before uninstalling to ensure complete data removal.

Facebook/Social Login Users

If you signed up using Facebook Login or other social authentication: Your urWave account data will be deleted as requested; We cannot delete data stored by Facebook or other social platforms; You should also revoke urWave's access in your Facebook Settings > Apps and Websites; Contact each social platform directly to delete data they hold about you.
